Why Meghan Didn’t Join The Royal Family For EasterApril 22, 2019
The whole royal family got together for Easter service at St. George’s Chapel with the Queen (also on the Queen’s birthday). William and Kate were there along with Harry. Meghan though, was not there as she is due with their first child “any day” now.
Her absence was no surprise, due to her being so close to giving birth. Entertainment Tonight reported that Meghan, last Friday, didn’t rule out joining the royal family for the Easter morning. A source described Meghan’s attendance as a “wait and see” kind of thing.
The source also said that in these final days before the arrival of the Sussex baby, Meghan has been “enjoying her pregnancy and anticipating the days ahead. It is such a happy and exciting time. She looks absolutely radiant and is taking each day at a time.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex chose to keep the birth private. There might be an announcement from the Palace that the Duchess is in labor, but it’s also possible that they will wait to share the news until after they’ve welcomed their baby. The Sussexes are expected to have a photoshoot with their new baby several days after his or her birth.
In a statement, Buckingham Palace explained the Sussex couple’s.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and world as they prepare to welcome their baby. Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep plans around the arrival of their baby private. The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family,” said Buckingham Palace.
