Will Meghan’s Baby Attend Lady Gabriella Windsor’s Wedding?April 8, 2019
Lady Gabriella Windsor will follow in the footsteps of Princess Eugenie and Meghan when she gets married at St George’s Chapel next month.
Prince and Princess Michael of Kent’s daughter, will tie the knot with financier Thomas on May 18. It’s only a day before the first anniversary of the wedding of Meghan and Harry. The Duchess is pregnant with her first child and the due date is thought to be around late April and early May.
Will new royal baby be at Lady Gabriella Windsor’s wedding?
Meghan and Harry have not revealed if they’ll attend Lady Gabriella Windsor wedding with their baby. Although the exact due date is unknown, it’s unlikely Meghan will feel up to attending and the needs of the newborn may be too much of a distraction at a wedding.
Several members of the Royal Family might attend but these are not expected to be senior ranking relatives like the Queen.
The Queen is Prince Michael of Kent’s cousin but she might not attend the wedding as “it may be a bit distant,” according to royal author Robert Jobson.
He also said: “I would expect it to be in the lines of a scaled down Princess Eugenie wedding.”
The monarch, also, did not attend the wedding of Lord Frederick Windsor, Lady Gabrielle’s brother, to Sophie Winkleman in 2009. Prince Charles, Princes William and Harry also did not attend the wedding. Princess Eugenie was the one senior member of the monarchy to go. She arrived at the wedding venue in Surrey with the Duke and Duchess of Kent.
She is goddaughter to Lord Frederick’s eldest daughter Maud, who was a bridesmaid at her wedding last October. So we can assume that she will attend Lady Gabriella and Thomas’s wedding.
